So driving back home a couple days ago I finally managed to murder my oil pan. Coming up over the hill on College ave I wasn't really paying attention and at the last second I see something in the road. Wasn't really sure what it was but it was too late to dodge it so I figured what the hell, I'll probably clear it. As soon as I hit it, I all sorts of crazy noises and then after a few seconds I start smelling oil. So I come to a stop and shut it down. I get out and see a huge trail of oil on the road behind me. Awesome. A guy pulls up and gives me a push to get my car out of the road. He then comes down and says "I think this is what you hit, looks like a piece of iron" I later found out that it was a chunk of water pipe from all the construction happening downtown. So I called AAA, took of my front and sides so it could be towed and hung out and waited for the truck to show up. Click the link below for more.
